Spotlight on leaves for InKing Royalty Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s September Blog Hop! This month’s blog hop is dedicated to leaves. As the weather begins to cool, the leaves begin to change colors and fall from the trees. We are excited to share our creations and hope you love them! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

My card today uses the Spotlight Technique and the Baby Wipe Technique to show off my leaves today.
Here’s my card:

Soft Seedlings is one of my favorite stamp sets from the July-December Mini Catalog.  Even though it has no coordinating dies, it’s very versatile.  I’ll walk you through my process.

Materials
Soft Seedlings Stamp Set
Peaceful Moments Stamp Set
Cajun Craze Cardstock – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4, 3 1/4 x 3 1/4, 2 1/4 x 2 1/4
Basic White Cardstock – 2 pieces cut at 4 x 4 1/4 (one for the inside), 3 x 3, 2 x 2
Circle Dies
Merry Merlot, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Mossy Meadow Reinkers
Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots
Baby Wipes

Stamping Steps
*Stamp the leaf with Cajun Craze Ink on one of the large Basic White Cardstock Pieces.
*Prepare your baby wipe stamp pad by folding a couple of wipes.  Add drops of color from the reinkers onto the baby wipes.  Tip: I like to set my wipes on a Silicone Craft Sheet.  It’s easy to clean and gives the wipes a bit of a cushion.
*Press the leaf stamp into the baby wipes and then stamp onto the 3×3 Basic White Cardstock.  Repeat the process with the sentiment, stamping on the 2 x 2 piece of Basic White.
*Die cut the 2 stamped images using the circle dies.  Die cut the Cajun Craze cardstock pieces with the circle dies.  Adhere the stamped images to the coordinating Cajun Craze circles.
*Adhere the finished leaf piece on top of the part of the front panel that you are “spotlighting” (covering up).   Adhere the sentiment to the upper right side of the front panel.  Trim the circles so they fit don’t hang over the panel.
*Adhere the finished panel to the front of the card base.
*Add 3 of the Metallic Dots to the card front.

I thought it turned out beautifully and I hope you do too! Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Candy Ford at Stamp Candy. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!

Enjoy the hop!

InKing Royalty Hop goes back to school

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s August Blog Hop! Can you believe it’s already time for schools to start back up?! The return to school after summer vacation is a really big deal for students, teachers, school workers and the parents who are left home alone. To honor this big event, we have created projects with a back to school theme. We are excited to share our creations and hope you love them! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

I retired from teaching in June after 31 years.  While I’m happily settling into the easy life, I have many friends who are rushing to get rooms ready for the first big day.  My project today is a card that pays tribute to all those dedicated public servants who feel like summer is just getting started, not over.

Here’s the card front:

And here’s the inside:

Here’s the recipe:

3.  Adhere the coffee cups onto the remaining Bermuda Bay piece.
4.  Stamp the coffee cup that is 4th down in the 3rd column with the coffee cup in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

7.  Add the Classic Matte Dots.
8.  Pop the finished panel onto the base with Dimensionals.
Card Inside
1.  2-Step stamp the coffee cup using Memento and Coastal Cabana Ink on the remaining Basic White Cardstock.

Crane of Fortune for InKing Royalty Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s May Blog Hop! Spring is just around the corner, so we are sharing Spring projects with bees and birds. We are excited to share our creations and hope you love them! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

I chose to go the “Bird” route for my card today.  It features the Crane of Good Fortune Bundle.  This elegant bundle can be found in the January-June 2022 Mini Catalog.  Take a look and tell me what you think.

Here’s how I created it.
Materials:
Crane of Fortune Bundle
Grassy Grove Stamp Set
Blackberry Bliss Cardstock and Stamp Pad
Basic White Cardstock
Smoky Slate Stamp Pad
2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds
Dimensionals

Process
Cut the Blackberry Bliss Cardstock 5 1/2 in. x 8 1/2 in. and fold at 4 1/4 in.
Cut 1 piece of the DSP at 4 in. x 5 1/2 in.
Stamp the crane in Smoky Slate onto a piece of Basic White Cardstock and die cut.
Using the remaining piece of DSP, die cut the lilies and free hand the rocks.
Adhere the crane to the card front and then adhere the cut pieces around it.
Stamp the sentiment on the gray section of the DSP and cut to 1 1/4 in. x 2 1/4 in.
Adhere the sentiment to a strip of remaining DSP measuring 3/4 in. x 3 in.
Add Dimensionals to the piece and adhere to the card front.
Add 3 of the Opal Rounds.  (I used up some gems that recently expired.)

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Lynn Kolcun at Avery’s Owlery. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!

We are excited to share our creations and hope you love them! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

I’ve been busier than usual this month so my card is quick, simple, and easy to reproduce.  I made my card using the Blessings of Home Bundle and the coordinating Heart & Home Memories & Home Card Pack.  The card bases and envelopes are versatile enough for guy or gal cards.

Supplies
Card Base and Envelope-These cards are a bit larger than an A2 card.
White Frayed Ribbon
Misty Moonlight Cardstock and Ink Pad
Basic White Cardstock
Classic Matte Dots
Harvest Dies
VersaMark Ink Pad
White embossing powder
Heat tool
Dimensionals
Tear and Tape
Stampin ‘ Cut and Emboss Machine

Process
1. Stamp the large flower stamp from the Blessings of Home Stamp Set on a piece of Misty Moonlight Cardstock with VersaMark ink.
2.  Sprinkle the cardstock with white embossing powder, tap off the extra and set with the heat tool.
3.  Die cut the finished piece using the coordinating die from the bundle and the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.
3.  Cut a 5 1/2 in. piece of the Frayed Ribbon and attach to the card front with Tear and Tape.
4.  Adhere the die cut piece using Dimensionals.
5.  Stamp the sentiment on a piece of Basic White Cardstock with Misty Moonlight Ink.
6.  Die cut the sentiment using the die from the Harvest Dies.
7.  Adhere to the card front.
8.  Embellish the finished card front with a sprinkling of Classic Matte Dots.

Sale-A-Bration fun for InKing Royalty Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s January Blog Hop! We are having so much fun with our new Sale-a-Bration products and are excited to share some of that fun with you today. This month’s projects feature papers or stamp sets (or both!) from Stampin’ Up!’s January – February 2022 Sale-a-Bration brochure. We are excited to share our creations with you today!  After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list, Joanne Whittington at The Inky Dragon.

I chose the Driving By Stamp Set for my Sale-A-Bration pick today.  With the Stamparatus, this card could easily be made by a beginning crafter. Here’s my card:

I just love the van!  It gave off a 60’s vibe so I went with it.

1.  Start with a Pool Party card base.
2.  Using the Stamparatus and the Spiral Dye Stamp, stamp the background on a 3 3/4 in x
5 in. piece of Basic White Cardstock.  I used Magenta Madness Ink.
I stamped off on a scrap piece of paper then stamped the cardstock.
3.  Stamp the van using Tuxedo Memento Ink.  Color the van using Pool Party,
Smokey Slate and Basic Black Stampin’ Blends. Draw the “peace symbol” with a
     Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.
4.  Fussy cut the van and pop it in the middle of the card with Dimensionals.
5.  Stamp the sentiment in Tuxedo Memento Ink and cut it up the middle.
Adhere it to the card so that it resembles a “road” for the van to drive on.
6.  Lastly, give it a little sparkle by adding 3 Polished Pink Jewels from the 2021-2023
     In Color Jewels.

I hope you enjoyed my project today!  Please continue on your hopping way.  If you get lost, the links are below.

Hugs!

Pretty Packages and Tags for InKing Royalty Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s November Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are having fun with our stamping favorites – our favorite themes for seasonal cards and projects. This month’s projects feature pretty packages and beautiful tags to inspire your holiday gift-giving. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

When it comes to the holidays, I’m all about quick and easy!  My project fits the bill perfectly.  Take a look:

I always have white gift bags on hand so I pulled out one of those.  I trimmed a 12 x 12 sheet of Peaceful Place Specialty Designer Series Paper to fit and adhered it to the bag front.

I cut the tag using a die from the Seasonal Labels Dies out of another piece from the designers series pack.  I also cut a piece of Basic White Cardstock using the same die and adhered the 2 together for strength and so I’d have a place to write on the back.

The bow is made from white tulle and strips of Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon and some silver retired ribbon I had in my ribbon stash.

That’s it!  Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Lynn Kolcun at Avery’s Owlery.  There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!
