Welcome to InKing Royalty’s February Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are having fun with our stamping favorites – our favorite themes for seasonal cards and projects. This month’s projects feature balloons, so you are in for a celebratory treat. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
My card features the Playful Pets Suite found on page 40 of the Annual Catalog. Those of you that are familiar with this suite are going to say,” Hmmmm, I don’t remember balloons in that suite.” You would be correct. There are no balloons, but there is a big ‘ole dog that is just dying for some balloons to hold! Here’s my card:
Isn’t he adorable? Here are the details:
*Start with a Thick Basic White card base
*Add a piece of Real Red measuring 4 x 5 1/4 in.
*Add the DSP measuring 3 3/4 x 5 in.
*Use the Balloon Bouquet Punch to punch out one balloon from the Playful Pets DSP and another from
the Regals DSP Pack.
*Glue a piece of the twine from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack to the back of each balloon with Tombo Multipurpose Liquid Glue
*Glue the small balloon to the DSP panel. Pop up the large balloon using Stampin’ Dimensionals
*Fussy Cut the dog from the DSP and pop him up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Make sure you adhere the balloon strings with a glue dot and situate your dog so that his paw is “holding” the balloons.
*Stamp the sentiment from the Pampered Pets stamp set on a 1 1/2 x 2 1/2 in. piece of Basic White cardstock with Real Red ink. Die cut with the Stitched So Sweetly die. Adhere to the panel.

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s June Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are enjoying a year of celebrations. This month’s projects celebrate the 4th of July – the projects are inspirational, patriotic and filled with reds, whites and blues. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
Who doesn’t enjoy a 4th of July celebration?! I have a friend who really loves the 4th because his birthday is on the same day as our country’s. He is a no fuss kind of guy, so I have made a quick and easy card for him. Here’s my card:
I chose the new stamp set, Happiest of Birthdays to take center stage on my card. The bold font hops right off of the card front!
My friend is going to like the color combo of Misty Moonlight, Whisper White and Real Red – traditional colors for this special holiday.
The Real Red background was created with the Buffalo Check background stamp. I don’t know about you, but I have a hard time getting the image of this stamp straight, even with the Stamparatus. Nothing looks worse than a crooked plaid! I also wanted the dark squares of the image around the outside. I got around it by inserting a 6 x 6 in. piece of Whisper White in the Stamparatus. I stamped the image and then trimmed to get the part of the image I wanted.
I popped up my sentiment with Dimensionals and added a couple of Star Designer Elements and that’s it! I think my friend will like his card and I hope you do too!

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s May Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are enjoying a year of celebrations. This month’s projects celebrate Sunshine, so prepare yourself for projects that are filled with sunny images of joy in the great outdoors. We are excited to share our creations with you today! My card today features an old technique with a new bundle. The technique is the Sunburst Technique and the bundle is the NEW Birds and Branches Bundle found on page 120 in the new Annual Catalog.
Here’s my card:
Isn’t that bird and nest sweet? And, did you notice there are two new In-Colors on my card as well? Of course you did! This bundle features two-step stamping images, branches and adorable little eggs. The dies have a pretty circle cut-out perfect for layering as well as the edge die I used today.
Here are the details:
Paper measurements- Thick Whisper White Cardstock for your base, Pacific Point measuring 41/8 X 5 3/8 in., Whisper White measuring 2 1/2 X 5 1/4 in., Just Jade measuring 3/4 in. X 5 1/4 in. , BumbleBee In-Color Designer Series Paper Assortment that measures 1 3/8 X 4 and extra Whisper White for Stamping you images.
Using 2 sheets from the DSP pack, cut 2 pieces that measure 1 3/8 X 4 in. from each sheet. Next, place them in your paper trimmer and cut on the diagonal from corner to corner.
Gently fold Whisper White Cardstock in half to find the center. Start adhering your DSP on either side of the crease. Continue until all the pieces are glued down. (These will hang over your cardstock.) Next trim around the outside of the piece with scissors or your trimmer. Tah-Dah! You now have a sunburst!
Adhere the finished sunburst to the Pacific Point Cardstock.
Die cut the Just Jade piece and adhere. (This die is designed to form a decorative edge for the bottom of a card. I cut the piece and left an edge on it so I could glue it down.)
Stamp and die cut the bird and next images and adhere.
The Hello Sunshine sentiment is from the Under My Umbrella Stamp Set. I’m so glad this set was carried over! Stamp the sentiment with VersaMark and emboss using White Embossing Powder and a Heat Tool.

My card for today was inspired by the beautiful blossoms of my flowering tree.
While not an exact match, they remind me of the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper. Here’s my card:

I’m crushin’ on the Tropical Oasis Suite in the Mini Catalog! I used it today to make my birthday card. Take a look:
I just love this sheet from the Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper! Such fun!
Here are the details:
The card base is Crumb Cake.
The Mint Macaron pieces are 4 in. x 5 1/4 in. and 1 in. x 4 in.
The DSP measures 3 7/8 x 5 1/8.
The sentiment is from the Geared Up Garage Suite and stamped in Early Espresso. (I love it when you can incorporate more than one stamp set on a card.)
I used 3 in. of the Braided Burlap Trim and frayed it at both ends. I put Tear & Tape on the back and adhered it to the front and back of my sentiment piece.
I adhered one of the Tropical Oasis Trinkets to the trim with Tear & Tape.
I popped up the sentiment piece with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
That’s it! I hope you enjoy this blast from the past!

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s August Blog Hop! This year’s Blog Hop themes are inspired by a single word – and this month our projects are centered around VACATION. While many are reminiscing about their summer vacations, others are looking forward to the long weekend just around the corner. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
I live on the East Coast. A good part of my vacation is spent with my Dad in Iowa. I grew up there and love to catch up on the news while I’m there. My dad raises mules and has a special sign to welcome visitors.
The Let It Ride Stamp Set reminds me of this sign and the fun times to come! Here’s the card I made with the set.
Here’s the details:
The card base is made from Whisper White Thick Cardstock.
The next layer is Early Espresso embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder.
The background rectangle is Copper Foil embossed with the new Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder. I sanded it a bit because I thought it overpowered the stamped image.
The image from Let It Ride is stamped with a Rich Cocoa Memento Pad. I then colored the image using Old Olive and Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends.
The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set. I stamped it in VersaMark and them embossed it with Copper Embossing Powder.
The 3 copper brads finish off my card and are also sanded to remove a bit of the shine.
Dad’s birthday is September 2 so this card will be on the way to him soon!
