Welcome to InKing Royalty’s November Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are enjoying a year of celebrations. This month’s projects celebrate Christmas, which – believe it or not – is just around the corner. Please prepare yourself for lots of beautiful projects that share the joy of this holiday. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
There are so many beautiful bundles in this year’s August-December Mini-Catalog, but my favorite is the Poinsettia Petals Bundle. Here is my card featuring this gorgeous bundle:

Here are the details:
- The poinsettia is stamped in VersaMark on Petal Pink Cardstock and then embossed with white embossing powder.
- The berries are stamped in VersaMark on Mint Macaron Cardstock and then embossed with white embossing powder.
- The sentiment is stamped in Soft Suede ink.
- The center is three of the Wonderful Gems.
- The background is done on Watercolor Paper. I saturated the top 2/3rds of the piece with my Water Painter. I then did a watercolor wash using Pool Party ink. A used my stamp pad lid as my palette. Finally, I ground sea salt over the top of it and let it dry. After drying, I wiped off the excess salt. I love the way it turned out! I hope you do too!
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Brian King at Stamp With Brian. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!
Hugs!

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s August Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are enjoying a year of celebrations. This month’s projects celebrate Autumn Weather, so prepare yourself for projects that are filled with warm tones and beautiful nods to the upcoming change in weather. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
Fall is the time of year when the weather starts to cool down and we gather up the last of the bounty from our gardens. My card today features the Autumn Goodness Bundle found on page 48 of the August-December Mini Catalog. I love the beautiful stamps in this bundle but I love the dies even more-especially the wheelbarrow die featured on my card today.

My card is a super easy fun fold! The base of the card is a 5 1/4 in. x 5 1/2 in. scored at 1 in. on the 5 1/4 in. side. The fold becomes a flap for another part of the base which measures 4 in. x 4 in.
Other details: 1. The wheelbarrow is stamped in Soft Suede on Crumb Cake cardstock. The veggies are stamped in Memento ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends. Both images were cut using the die cuts.
2. The DSP used on the sides/inside of the card is the Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper found on page 45 of the Autumn-December Mini Catalog. The strips are 1 in. x 4 in.
3. The Very Vanilla pieces measure 3 in. x 3 and 3/4 in. and 4 in. x 5 1/4 in.
4. The pretty copper ribbon is part of the Basket Weave and Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack. I can be found on page 45 of the August-December Mini Catalog.

Jun 17, 2020 | 2020-2021 Annual Catalog, Birthday, Blog Hops, Occasions |

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s June Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are enjoying a year of celebrations. This month’s projects celebrate the 4th of July – the projects are inspirational, patriotic and filled with reds, whites and blues. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
Who doesn’t enjoy a 4th of July celebration?! I have a friend who really loves the 4th because his birthday is on the same day as our country’s. He is a no fuss kind of guy, so I have made a quick and easy card for him. Here’s my card:

I chose the new stamp set, Happiest of Birthdays to take center stage on my card. The bold font hops right off of the card front!
My friend is going to like the color combo of Misty Moonlight, Whisper White and Real Red – traditional colors for this special holiday.
The Real Red background was created with the Buffalo Check background stamp. I don’t know about you, but I have a hard time getting the image of this stamp straight, even with the Stamparatus. Nothing looks worse than a crooked plaid! I also wanted the dark squares of the image around the outside. I got around it by inserting a 6 x 6 in. piece of Whisper White in the Stamparatus. I stamped the image and then trimmed to get the part of the image I wanted.
I popped up my sentiment with Dimensionals and added a couple of Star Designer Elements and that’s it! I think my friend will like his card and I hope you do too!

Until next time, Robin

May 27, 2020 | 2020-2021 Annual Catalog, Birds and Branches, Blog Hops, Uncategorized |

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s May Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are enjoying a year of celebrations. This month’s projects celebrate Sunshine, so prepare yourself for projects that are filled with sunny images of joy in the great outdoors. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
My card today features an old technique with a new bundle. The technique is the Sunburst Technique and the bundle is the NEW Birds and Branches Bundle found on page 120 in the new Annual Catalog.
Here’s my card:

Isn’t that bird and nest sweet? And, did you notice there are two new In-Colors on my card as well? Of course you did! This bundle features two-step stamping images, branches and adorable little eggs. The dies have a pretty circle cut-out perfect for layering as well as the edge die I used today.
Here are the details:
Paper measurements- Thick Whisper White Cardstock for your base, Pacific Point measuring 41/8 X 5 3/8 in., Whisper White measuring 2 1/2 X 5 1/4 in., Just Jade measuring 3/4 in. X 5 1/4 in. , BumbleBee In-Color Designer Series Paper Assortment that measures 1 3/8 X 4 and extra Whisper White for Stamping you images.
- Using 2 sheets from the DSP pack, cut 2 pieces that measure 1 3/8 X 4 in. from each sheet. Next, place them in your paper trimmer and cut on the diagonal from corner to corner.
- Gently fold Whisper White Cardstock in half to find the center. Start adhering your DSP on either side of the crease. Continue until all the pieces are glued down. (These will hang over your cardstock.) Next trim around the outside of the piece with scissors or your trimmer. Tah-Dah! You now have a sunburst!
- Adhere the finished sunburst to the Pacific Point Cardstock.
- Die cut the Just Jade piece and adhere. (This die is designed to form a decorative edge for the bottom of a card. I cut the piece and left an edge on it so I could glue it down.)
- Stamp and die cut the bird and next images and adhere.
- The Hello Sunshine sentiment is from the Under My Umbrella Stamp Set. I’m so glad this set was carried over! Stamp the sentiment with VersaMark and emboss using White Embossing Powder and a Heat Tool.

Apr 22, 2020 | 2019-2020 Annual Catalog, Bird Ballad Suite, Blog Hops, Occasions |

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s April Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are enjoying a year of celebrations. This month’s projects celebrate Springtime, so I hope you are ready for gorgeous Spring colors, flowers and butterflies – and maybe some sweet baby animals. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
My card for today was inspired by the beautiful blossoms of my flowering tree.
While not an exact match, they remind me of the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper. Here’s my card:

I created a Center Step Card today using a tutorial by France Martin. Here’s the link to her tutorial Center Step Tutorial by France Martin
Here are the details.
- The card base is Calypso Coral and measures 4 1/2 X 11 in.
- The center panel measures 2 1/8 X 4 3/8 in.
- The 2 side panels measure 7/8 X 4 3/8 in.
- I used the middle sized circle in the Stitched Framelits Dies along with a Calypso Coral circle cut from the Layering Circles Framelits.
- The strip at the bottom measures 7/8 by 4 3/8 in.
- I used the Well Written Framelets Dies to create the sentiment.
- A Bird Ballad Trinket and an Old Olive ribbon bow finish off the card.
I put a 4 1/8 x 4 3/8 in. piece of DSP on the back so I’d have a place to jot a note and sign the card.
I hope you like my card and enjoy the rest of the hop!
Hugs, Robin
