Welcome to InKing Royalty’s January Blog Hop! We are having so much fun with our new Sale-a-Bration products and are excited to share some of that fun with you today. This month’s projects feature papers or stamp sets (or both!) from Stampin’ Up!’s January – February 2022 Sale-a-Bration brochure. We are excited to share our creations with you today! I chose the Driving By Stamp Set for my Sale-A-Bration pick today. With the Stamparatus, this card could easily be made by a beginning crafter. Here’s my card:
I just love the van! It gave off a 60’s vibe so I went with it.
1. Start with a Pool Party card base.
2. Using the Stamparatus and the Spiral Dye Stamp, stamp the background on a 3 3/4 in x
5 in. piece of Basic White Cardstock. I used Magenta Madness Ink.
I stamped off on a scrap piece of paper then stamped the cardstock.
3. Stamp the van using Tuxedo Memento Ink. Color the van using Pool Party,
Smokey Slate and Basic Black Stampin’ Blends. Draw the “peace symbol” with a
Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.
4. Fussy cut the van and pop it in the middle of the card with Dimensionals.
5. Stamp the sentiment in Tuxedo Memento Ink and cut it up the middle.
Adhere it to the card so that it resembles a “road” for the van to drive on.
6. Lastly, give it a little sparkle by adding 3 Polished Pink Jewels from the 2021-2023

When it comes to the holidays, I’m all about quick and easy! My project fits the bill perfectly. Take a look:
I always have white gift bags on hand so I pulled out one of those. I trimmed a 12 x 12 sheet of Peaceful Place Specialty Designer Series Paper to fit and adhered it to the bag front.
I cut the tag using a die from the Seasonal Labels Dies out of another piece from the designers series pack. I also cut a piece of Basic White Cardstock using the same die and adhered the 2 together for strength and so I’d have a place to write on the back.
The bow is made from white tulle and strips of Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon and some silver retired ribbon I had in my ribbon stash.

My card today showcases the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set. I used bleach to stamp the pretty leaves onto the cardstock. Here is my card:

Materials used:
Misty Moonlight Cardstock,
Cork Specialty Paper
Gorgeous Leaves Stamp Set
Early Espresso Ink Pad
Water Painter and bleach
Very Vanilla Cardstock
Tasteful Textured 3D Embossing Folder
Stampin’ Dimensionals
Process:
1. Stamp the leaves onto the cardstock using the Water Painter filled with bleach. I “painted” the bleach onto the stamp until it was very wet but not dripping. Stamp with firm pressure and hold the stamp in place for about 20 seconds. Do this with all the leaf stamps.
2. Splatter some of the bleach onto the paper by tapping on the barrel of the Water Painter.
3. Emboss the stamped and splattered panel with the Tasteful Texture 3D Embossing Folder.
4. Stamp the sentiment on the Very Vanilla piece in Early Espresso Ink. Adhere to the panel using Dimensionals.
5. Add 3 Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots for sparkle.
6. Adhere the finished panel to the cork layer and then add that panel to the cardstock. (In case you were wondering, I adhered them on slanted angles on purpose. It could be because I was up very late making the card!)
I really enjoyed experimenting with different colors of cardstock. Each color faded differently. I hope you give this technique a try!

My card for today features the Beauty of the Earth Suite on page 10, and the Gold Leafing on Page 143 of the Annual Catalog . The card features a Tent Fold. I learned this fold from Lisa Curcio. Here’s the link to her tutorial https://youtu.be/VL3EHNSYHag
Here’s my version:
Here’s the details:
- The card base is Merry Merlot with a window cut from the front. A window sheet is adhered behind the window.
- The Designer Series Paper has added flecks of Gilded Leafing. I first added dots of glue using a glue pen. Next I dipped the DSP into the Gilded Leafing. I used a stipple brush to remove the excess. It’s really fun to use but a bit messy. Those little gold flakes want to go everywhere!
- Adhere the DSP to the inside panel.
- I stamped the tree branch with Soft Suede ink. I 2-step stamped the foliage using Merry Merlot and Night of Navy inks, stamping off once when I stamped the Navy.
- I used my glue pen again to add glue to foliage part of the tree. I then repeated the Gilded Leafing process. So pretty!
- I die cut the tree trunk and foliage. I adhered the 2 tree pieces together and added them to the front of the card.
- I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy and added it to the card front. What is usually the inside of the card is on the back of this one. Here’s what it looks like.
- I repeated the tree stamping process on this tree but used the smaller foliage pieces included in the stamp set.
- The sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy. It’s from the Through It Together stamp set found on page 72 of the Annual Catalog.

I needed a Mother’s Day card and decided to use The Dandy Garden Suite to make it. This fabulous suite can be found in the January-June Mini Catalog and will be continuing on into the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog.

Paper: Thick Basic White Cardstock measuring 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 in.
2 pieces of Basic White measuring 3 3/8 x 4 3/8 in.
1 piece of Misty Moonlight Cardstock measuring 4 1/2 x 7 in. scored at 3 1/2
Extra Misty Moonlight Cardstock for the die cuts
DSP from the Dandy Garden 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper Pack
Misty Moonlight Ink Pad
Dandy Wishes Dies
Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set and Mother’s Day Stamp from a past Paper Pumpkin Kit

Detailed Trio Punch
Opal Rounds
Wink of Stella
Directions:
* Stamp the Thick Whisper White Piece.
* Round the top right corner of the Misty Moonlight Cardstock using the Detailed Trio Punch.
Card Front:
* Die cut the dandelion and grass from cardstock using the dies. Die cut the dandelion centers out of DSP using the dies. Add an Opal Round to the dandelion center.
*Punch the dragonfly from the sheet of DSP using the Dragonflies Punch. Use Wink of Stella on the wings.
*Stamp the sentiment.
*Assemble the card front and punch the upper right hand corner using the Detailed Trio Punch. Adhere to the Misty Moonlight card front.
Card Inside:
*Stamp the inside and punch the top right hand corner with the Detailed Trio Punch.
*Adhere the finished mini card to the Thick Basic White Cardstock piece.
