Hello!

From the moment I saw the set, Heartland, in the new annual catalog, I knew it was coming to join my stamp collection.  I grew up in Iowa, and this set reminds me of home.

You can work with this set in so many ways, but today I got out my Aquapainter and watercolored the image.

Here are the details:

  • I inked the image on watercolor paper with Basic Black Archival Ink.
  • I colored the image using Cherry Cobbler for the barn, Always Artichoke for the trees and bushes, So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz for the grass, Basic Gray for the barn roof and silo and Soft Suede for the path up to the barn.
  • I used the Aquapainter and Soft Suede ink to flick droplets onto the background.
  • I mounted my piece onto an Always Artichoke background.  I then mounted it onto a Soft Suede card base.
I hope my card inspires you to give this great stamp set a try!  You can find it on page 39 of the Annual Catalog.

Happy stampin’
Robin
