Hello! Today I went over to the TGIF Challenge site and found a CASE the Designer Challenge. I CASEd Holly’s card. Not until I was done, did I realize her card was a CASE of Cathy Caines. So that makes my card a CASE of a CASE. Confused?
Here’s a look at my card:
Here’s Holly’s card:
And here’s Cathie’s card that started the chain reaction:
It’s interesting to see how an idea begins and morphs through multiple interpretations, isn’t it?
Here’s how I CASEd Holly:
- I implemented Holly’s sketch exactly.
- Instead of feathers, I used flamingos which have feathers.
- My color scheme is Sweet Sugarplum and Flirty Flamingo along with a pop of black. Holly uses purples and pinks in her feathers as well.
- I stamped my flamingos using the Baby Wipe Technique so I could make them multi-colored like Holly’s feathers.
I have to show you this picture before I close. It’s of a giant flamingo in front of a hotel in the town where my dad lives. That thing’s been there for as long as I can remember.
Happy stampin’,
Robin
Fun card, Robin. Loving your flamingos and they look fabulous in those colours. A gorgeous take on Holly's card. Thanks for playing along this week and I hope we see you again next week at TGIF Challenges. Rochelle xo
