I can’t get enough of the new Confetti Celebration stamp set, so I’m featuring it on my card for this week’s Fab Friday Challenge! Here’s my card:
And here’s the banner that was my inspiration:
As you can see, I followed the sketch closely.
I used a piece of Emerald Envy for my card base. I embossed it using the Big Dots embossing folder. I chose a piece of DSP from the Playful Palette Designer Series Paper Stack,to compliment the card base.
For the banner, I stamped the party lights from Confetti Celebration in black and then colored them with markers. Using the Hooray from the same stamp set, I stamped the sentiment in the Emerald Envy and punched it out with a 2″ circle punch.
I strayed from the sketch just a bit with the placement of my embellishment. I chose a balloon stamped in Sweet Sugarplum and placed it higher than the sketch indicates.
Did you notice I got dotty with this card? All of the elements have a tendency toward a circle shape. I like the way that it ties the card together. Hope you like it too!
Happy stampin’!
Robin
So cute! Great use of that new stamp set and designer paper. Thanks for joining us at Fab Friday! Hope to see you again soon!
What a fresh and lovely combo of colors! I've been struggling a bit with Emerald Envy – but you've inspired me with these bright pops! Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!
I love how you stamped the lights on the narrow flag…a fun detail that ties in with all of the other circles! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!
The balloon is a perfect accent, Robin! I adore, too, the string of lights. Great card! Thanks for playing along with this FabFriday sketch!
