Welcome to InKing Royalty’s January Blog Hop – our first hop of 2017! Today’s hop is filled with inspiring projects that feature each artist’s take on “Love is in the Air”. This is the best time of year to start planning your Valentine’s Day projects. There are amazing, new products in Stampin’ Up!’s Occasions Catalog – and NOW is the best time to get them. We are excited to share our projects with you and hope they inspire you! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
I had so much fun creating my card for this hop! The “So In Love Bundle” makes cardmaking so easy! Here’s my card:
Here’s the scoop:
- I chose to pair the bundle with the beautiful Falling In Love Designer Series Paper. I chose to keep my card simple so that the gorgeous DSP didn’t get too covered up. This particular piece has Sahara Sand, Blushing Bride, and Very Vanilla colors in it.
- I used Sahara Sand Cardstock for my die cut. I saved some of the tiny cut out hearts for embellishments
- I finished off my card with silver ribbon from the 3/8″ Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack.
This card makes a beautiful statement but is super simple to make. Wouldn’t you agree?
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Lisa Pretto at Ink Big Academy Stamps. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!

Hello! I finally got a chance to sit down and participate in a challenge today. I’ve been having fun with my new granddaughter. The sketch I chose was the one over at CAS(E) This Sketch. Here is a look at my card:
And here is the sketch from CTS:
Card Details:
- I chose the Merry Mice Stamp Set. This set has adorable little mice that just leap onto the paper!
- I used Stampin’Write Markers to color most of the image. I used colored pencil on the mouse himself so that he wouldn’t be too dark.
- I added 3 gold stars to add some bling to my simple image.

Hi! Today I have a clean and simple card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge. Here is my card for the challenge:
And here is the banner for the challenge:
My card is basically a one layer card with a fancy embellishment. My Emerald Envy card base is embossed with Emerald Envy ink to make the text more noticeable. I used the Merry Medley Stamp
to stamp my background.
The embellishment consists of pine boughs cut from gold paper using the Pretty Pines Thinlets Dies, a bow cut from Emerald Envy Cardstock using the same thinlets, and an ornament which has been die cut and sewn using the Festive Stitching Thinlets Dies. I used gold twine from the Baker’s Twine Trio Pack and Real Red Twine from the Candy Cane Lane Baker’s Twine Pack.
Happy stampin’,

Hello, It’s been almost a month since I’ve last blogged. I’ve been recovering from a difficult surgery. I felt pretty good today so I decided to play along with this week’s FMS sketch. Here’s my card:
And here’s the sketch that inspired me:
Here are the details:
- The trees are cut from the Presents and Pine Cones DSP
- It’s hard to see, but I used the swirl from the Star of Light Stamp Set on the upper half of my card.
- The sentiment is from the Stitched With Cheer stamp set. I love the way it looks embossed with Emerald Envy Glitter Embossing Powder!
- The Emerald Envy Ribbon is a preview from the new Occasion’s Catalog! You can order it beginning January 4th.
Happy stampin’,
Robin
