Hi, Stampers!
I recently found out that my neighbor found a fantastic new job. I wanted to tell him how excited I was for him. Guess what I did? Made a card of course! The card I made also works for two challenges this week. I gotta big bang out of one card. Here’s the card I made:
Jennifer Brum came up with a very versatile sketch for Freshly Made Sketches 230
Bruno Bertucci came up with an awesome color combo for the Global Design Project #029 Challenge. I would never have thought to use these colors together, but they are splendid!
My card base is Bermuda Bay. I made Early Espresso my neutral and sentiment color.
Early Espresso is my new black for a lot of my cards. Tangelo Twist is my accent color. A little dab will do ya! My background was made by using my Tangelo Twist and Bermuda Bay markers with a marker spritzer. I finished it off with three Bermuda Bay Candy Dots.
I think my neighbor will smile when he opens this fun card! What do you think? Add a comment below, I would love to hear from you!
Happy stamping!

Hello Stampers!
I want to show you a card that I’m in LOVE with! I loved it so much, I featured it in my newsletter this week.
I used the Raised Vellum technique on the rose. Here’s a close up of the finished rose.
If you would like to learn how to do this technique, sign up for my newsletter. The form is at the end of this post.
Happy stamping!

Hello, Stampers!
As fellow stampers, you all know that every card we make is made with love. We pour a piece of ourselves into everything we create. Today’s card is no exception. The card I made today uses the Made With Love stamp set. I created this card because I have a few friends with babies on the way, and it works for the Freshly Made Sketch and the Pals Paper Arts challenges this week.
Michelle Gleason has chosen soft, springy colors for us to play with.
Cindy H. has a created a fun sketch to get our brains thinking.
And here’s my card that combines the two
I’m very happy with the way this card turned out. I like to keep baby cards simple and fresh. I used Mint Macaron for my card base. The Mint Macaron strip of paper is from the Birthday Bouquet paper pack.
The one inch squares were sponged with the three challenge colors. The darling images from the Made With Love stamp set were stamped onto the sponged squares in Soft Suede.
For more detail, I added paper piercing using my Updated Essentials Paper Piercing Pack. I finished my sweet little card up with a Blushing Bride Baker’s Twine bow.
The next baby is a boy so I can just swap out the pink for some Soft Sky and be good to go!
Happy Stamping!

Hello, Stampers!
I made today’s card for this week’s Global Design Project. The challenge this week is to make a Thank You card.
I never seem to have enough thank you cards. I’m always making them at the last minute. My card today is easy enough to make a few at once for my stash and it’s cute too!
I’m excited to ink up one of the sentiments from the Love You Sew stamp set. This set is a hostess set from the Occasions Catalog. The sentiments are a bit corny but hey, I grew up in Iowa so it’s perfect for me. (In case you didn’t know, Iowa is a major corn producing state in the U.S.)
Here’s my card:
Isn’t it fun? I started with a Tip Top Taupe card base. I topped that with the ombre side of the green swirl DSP from the Perfectly Artistic paper pack. I love that Stampin’ Up! designer series papers have two sides! The hard part is deciding which side to use!
I stamped my sentiment in Tip Top Taupe and punched holes around it with two sizes of hole punches. I embellished the card with a few dots punched from Tip Top Taupe cardstock. It’s as easy as that! What do you think? Please take a minute to let me know.
Happy stamping!

Hello, Stampers!
I can’t believe it’s been a month since I’ve blogged! Health issues have gotten in the way. I apologize for my absence. Today’s card is for my daughter’s birthday next week. (Don’t tell her if you see her.)
Here’s a picture of Emily with her husband, Sal:
Beth Beard made the sketch for this week’s Pals Paper Arts 292 challenge. Beth’s sketch was truly a challenge because of all the parts involved. Here’s Beth’s cool sketch:
And here’s my daughter’s birthday card:
This ice cream themed card starts with two pieces of Designer Series Paper from the Birthday Bouquet paper pack. The ice cream cone and the dotted paper match the Mint Macaron cardstock I used for my card base.
The ice cream cone was stamped twice. Once on a Blushing Bride piece of the Perfectly Artistic DSP and once on a scrap of Tip Top Taupe cardstock. (You can still order the Perfectly Artistic paper while supplies last.) I cut out the ice cream from the pink and the cone from the taupe and pieced them together for the yummy cone.
I’m a sparkle girl and today I added glam by using Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper for my banner. Isn’t it pretty?
I stamped my sentiment using the Happy Birthday from the And Many More stamp set. You can find this fabulous set in the Annual Catalog.
I hope Emily likes her card as much as I liked making it!
Happy stamping!
