My husband and I are creatures of habit. Every Sunday after church we head to the same restaurant and usually have the same waitress. Shannon is a lovely young woman who is about to graduate from LaSalle University. Of course, that calls for a graduation card and here it is:
LaSalle’s colors are dark blue and gold so I went with a Night of Navy card base and gold foil numbers. If you look closely, you can see that I embossed the front of the card with a retired embossing folder. I die cut the numbers using the Large Numbers Framelets.
Isn’t the graduation hat on the zero cute? I sketched it on the back of the gold foil paper and cut it out. I made the tassel with embroidery thread. It’s held in place with a gold brad. The tassel is light blue because Shannon is an education major.
I hope Shannon likes her card! What do you think? Let me know in the comments below.
Happy stampin’,
Robin
This is a fantastic graduation card, Robin. The hat and tassel are perfect. This is definitely a keeper card!
