Hi, Stampers!
As soon as I saw that Laurie over at Paper Players had chosen a Western theme, I got so excited! I’ve been riding horses since I was three because my dad raised Quarter Horses. My dad HATES getting dressed up. He thinks a bright western shirt and his “good” jeans are just fine, no matter the occasion. So this card is for him.
and here’s the banner for the challenge
My “material” for my dad’s shirt is DSP from the Bohemian Designer Series paper pack. It actually looks very close to a shirt my dad wears. (He’s pretty hip for age 82!) I mounted the shirt on a Delightful Dijon card base. I used gold brads for the snaps. (Dad says if a shirt has buttons it’s not Western.)
The sentiment is from the retired Horse Frontier stamp set. I kept it just because horse themed sets don’t come around that often.
I’m putting this sharp card aside for Dad’s Father’s Day card. He’s a man of few words but it should produce a grin.
Let me know what you think and please subscribe if you liked today’s post!
I’m riding off into the sunset,
Robin

It's really true, right?!
I'm glad I never had to wear a shirt like that hehe! But you rocked the challenge! So clever! Congrats on the win!
Thanks Holly! My dad looks handsome in almost anything he wears. LOL
