Gardening the easy way with Stampin’ Up!

Hello!

When Spring comes, I start dreaming about a backyard garden.  I lovingly look through catalogs and purchase beautiful plants.  After planting, reality sets in.  Weeding……watering……and more weeding.  My dream turns into a nightmare!

This year will be different.  While I’m still planting things, I’m not planting the quantity that I have in years past.  I’m also planting more perennials so there will be even less to do next year.

What am I going to do in my spare time?  Make beautiful cards using all of the floral images in the new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog!  Today I have a card for you that features the Thoughtful Journey Suite.  The Thoughtful Wishes Bundle in the suite includes stamps and dies that are beautiful and versatile. And you can’t make an ugly card using the Thoughtful Journey 6×6 Designers Series Paper Pack!

So simple!  Here’s the details:

* Adhere to the card panel.

That’s it!  I hope my card made you smile!
(Happy gardening if that’s your thing!)

Frog and Friends

Hi!

One of the many things about retirement is spending more time with the grandkids.  Hailey loves to craft and make cards so I rely on Stampin’ Ups! Online Kits a great deal.  We recently made up the Frog and Friends Kit.  This kit makes adorable animals that you use for a catching game.  There is a shark, fish and frog. The kit makes 3 of each character.

Hailey is eight.  This kit is perfect for kiddos that are that age or older.  She loves playing this game!  Here’s Hailey wearing her best fish face!
This kit is a must have if you have kids in your family!  I guarantee a good time!

Hugs!
Robin

P.S.  Can you please forward this to any crafty friends you have?  I’m trying to grow my audience. Thanks!

Leaf peeping at InKing Royalty Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s October Blog Hop! Don’t you just love this time of year when all the leaves begin to change and fall?! We do, and we are excited to share our creations. Hope you love them! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

I live in Pennsylvania which has spectacular views of the changing leaves.  Many people, including myself, love to go leaf peeping.  I hope you like peeping at my leaf card.

Aren’t those leaves gorgeous?  I covered my leaves with Gilded Leafing.  It’s a bit messy, but so worth it!
Here are the details:

Materials List
Autumn Leaves Bundle 162179
Cajun Craze Cardstock 119684  Card base and 3 3/4 in. x 6 in.
Thick White Cardstock  159229   4 in.x 6 in.
Gorgeous Gingham Designer Series Paper 163170   4 in. x 5 1/4 in.
Adhesive Sheet 152334  3 3/4 in. x 6 in. (2)
Gilded Leafing  154560
VersaMark Pad  102283
Gold Embossing Powder 155555

Putting it all together
* Place the 4 in. x 6 in. piece of Thick White Cardstock between the bottom and top layer of one of the adhesive sheets.
*  Die cut the leaves from the Adhesive Sheet.
*  Peel off the top layer of the Adhesive Sheet. Put the Gilded Leafing onto the leaves and pat down firmly.  Remove the excess with a stipple brush or an     old toothbrush. ( If you have a fresh manicure, you might want to wear gloves.)
*  Adhere the leaves to the designer series paper by peeling off the bottom of the Adhesive Sheet.
*  Peel off the top layer of the other Adhesive Sheet.  Place the Cajun Craze Cardstock between the layers of the adhesive and die cut the leaf veins.
*   Adhere the leaf veins to the leaves.
*  Die cut the sentiment piece out of Thick Whisper White.  Stamp the sentiment in VersaMark, sprinkle with the gold powder, and heat with the heat tool        until shiny.  Adhere to the designer series paper.
*  Finally, adhere the finished card front to the card base.

That’s it!  I really had fun playing with the Gilded Leafing!  I hope you give it a try.

That’s why they call it the Blues

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s July Blog Hop! We are embracing some (or all) of Stampin’ Up!’s beautiful blues for today’s hop – there are so many great ways to showcase the blues in the current color families! We are excited to share our creations and hope you love them! After you read my post, I hope hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

I’m so glad to be singing the blues today with you.  The two blues I chose to feature are Boho Blue and Night of Navy.  Of course, I turned to the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper for Inspiration.

I just love how these 2 blues work so well with one another!  The card base is Night of Navy as well as the sentiment strip.    The doily is made using the Delightful Doily Hybrid Embossing Folder.  I embossed a 4×4 in. piece of Boho Blue from the 2023-2025 In Color Luster Specialty Paper.  This paper just sparkles in a way you just can’t see from my photo.  Take my word for it, you NEED this paper!  I then used the coordinating die to cut my doily out.  After running it through my die cut machine a couple of times, it turned out beautifully.  I wanted a Night of Navy background so that the die cut doily would be more distinct.  I took a 4×4 piece of Night of Navy and cut it with the outline die, then adhered it to the back of the Boho Blue Doily.  I embossed the sentiment from Go To Greetings in white.  I finished the card with 2 dots from the 2023-2025 In Color Dots.

We are excited to share our flower-filled creations with you and hope you love them! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

The fact that I love flowers is an understatement.  I ADORE flowers!  Stampin’ Up! has so many beautiful flower offerings in the catalogs.  It’s hard to pick just one, but I chose the Two-Tone Flower Bundle in the January-April Mini Catalog. Not only is the bundle beautiful, so is the gorgeous Fancy
Flora Designer Series Paper.  I’ve paired these beauties with one of the dies from the Artisan Addition Dies found in the Annual Catalog.  Here’s what I created.

This card is so easy to make.  Let me show you how.
